Taiko Hungary

About

TAIKO Hungary Japanese Drum Association specializes in the practice and teaching of traditional Japanese taiko drumming. Located in Újpest on the grounds of the former Gyapjúszövőgyár, it operates in a practice room of approximately 100 sqm with mirrored walls and carpeted flooring, suitable for up to 30 people practicing simultaneously. The association offers regular weekly classes, intensive weekend workshops, Japanese drum performances, and team-building drumming programs. Its equipment includes original Japanese drums (Miya, Okedo, Shime, Hira, Odaiko) and other instruments (Uchiwa, Chappa, Atarigane, gong, Shinobue, Tetsuzutsu). Taiko is a combination of rhythm, dynamic movement, and focused attention, built on team spirit and ensemble playing.
