About
Allegro Balett Stúdió was founded in 2020 by Mónika Barna and György Szakály, a Kossuth Prize-winning dancer and former rector of the Hungarian University of Dance. The studio provides amateur and professional level ballet instruction for teenagers and adults through group and private classes. The instruction includes classical ballet, modern/contemporary dance and pointe technique classes. Mónika Barna is a former ballet dancer, ballet master and department head at the Hungarian State Opera House. Group classes are held at the Hungarian University of Dance Building D (1145 Amerikai út 96.) from September 2026, while individual and small group classes take place at the Örs fitness building (1144 Kerepesi út 104.). A minimum of 2-3 years of prior training is required for group classes.
