Mat or reformer
Mat pilates uses your bodyweight and small props (ring, ball, resistance band), typically in a larger group and at a lower price. The reformer is a spring-resisted machine: more precise, more scalable load, smaller classes, higher price.
Who it's for
Pilates focuses on the deep core muscles, trunk stability and posture, which is why it's popular for office-related lower-back pain, postpartum recovery, and as a complement to other sports. If you have a complaint or injury, choose a studio where a physiotherapist or an experienced instructor leads the class, and start with a private or duo session.
Prices
Reformer classes typically cost 4,000-7,000 Ft per session, cheaper with a package; mat classes are cheaper. Several studios accept the AYCM or MultiSport pass, often with a limit on visits.
