Why it's so popular
Padel can be picked up almost instantly: the court is smaller, the ball can be played off the walls, and it's played in fours, which makes it social. Scoring follows tennis. Racquets and balls can be rented at every court.
Booking a court
You book a court by the hour, typically 90 minutes, and usually split the cost between four players. Peak hours - weekday evenings, weekend mornings - fill up fast, so book ahead. Many clubs run beginner clinics and level-matched socials if you don't have four players.
Where to play
Padel is spreading quickly in Budapest, with new courts opening in outer districts and around the agglomeration. The map view shows the closest one to you.
