What a functional gym looks like
Functional gyms focus on movement patterns (squat, pull, push, lift) rather than isolated machine exercises. Typical equipment: kettlebells, rings, medicine balls, plyo boxes, battle ropes, sleds. At many places the membership covers group classes rather than open gym access.
If you're just starting out, look for a gym flagged as beginner-friendly or a dedicated beginner class - technique, especially for lifts, matters, and a good coach helps a lot in the first weeks.
Fixed schedule or open training
Some gyms run on a fixed class schedule, where you need to book, others let you train freely during opening hours. The card shows which system each gym uses.
Prices
Group functional-training memberships typically run 12,000-25,000 Ft/month depending on weekly frequency. Many studios also accept the AYCM or MultiSport pass, and a first class is often free or discounted.
